A hidden sentence, revealed by the answers to its clues. The clock starts
when you press start — not before.
How to play
The board is a hidden sentence, one square per letter.
Answer a clue and its letters appear in the sentence, wherever
they belong.
Or type a word you can read out of the sentence — it fills in
where it stands, and completes the answers those letters belong to.
Every letter belongs to exactly one answer, and nothing is
marked wrong: a word that is not in the puzzle simply does not take.

often credited to Confucius
Nothing like it appears in the Analects or anywhere else Confucius is recorded. It seems to be a modern English saying that borrowed his name for authority, as proverbs often do. The advice needs no famous name: every big job is a pile of small ones.
Clues
Two ways in. Type an answer from the list above and its letters appear in the
sentence. Or type a word you can guess from the sentence itself — it fills in where
it stands, and completes the answers those letters belong to. Every letter of the sentence
belongs to exactly one answer, and the small number on a tile is its position in the
sentence. Hover a clue to see which tiles it owns.
